PEOPLE OF THE TEXAS REVOLUTION

I am Sam Houston. I was born on March 2, 1793. I was general of the Texas army when the battle of San Jacinto occured. We won that battle and captured Santa Anna, so we won the war. I was also the first and only president of Texas. I died in 1863. I got married 3 times and was burried in Huntsville Texas.

I am Santa Anna. I was born on February 21, 1794. I was the President of Mexico and General of Mexican army during the Texas Revolution. I was captured by Sam Houston and his troops at the battle of San Jacinto. That was when we lost. I died in 1876. I captured and caused loss of half of the Mexican territory.

I am James Bowie. I was born in 1796. I am famous for my bowie knife. I was a co general of the Battle of the Alamo with William Travis. I was very sick during the battle of the Alamo, causing me to not be able to get out of my bed. I died on March 6, 1836 in the alamo when I got killed.

I am Stephen F. Austin. I was born November 3, 1793. I founded the first anglo-american colony in Texas. The families I brought were called the Old 300 because there were 300 families and they were the first of their kind. I was arrested by Santa Anna and his troops in Janruary of 1834, and was let out in December 1834. I died in 1836.

I am James Fannin. I was born in 1804 in Georgia. I was a fighter in the battle of Gonzales. I was a leader of regiment of about 400 people in the battle of Goliad. I was executed by Santa Anna on March 27 1836 after being captured in the battle.

I am Davy Crockett. I was born in 1786 in east Tennesee. I was a fighter for Texas in the battle of the Alamo. I was famous for being able to hunt bears really well, and for being strong and tough. I was killed on March 6 1836 fighting in the Battle of the Alamo.
